About Aron
Hello! I’m an artist and writer who loves watercolor, epic fantasy, and nature. My major long-running project is an online graphic novel called Tamuran, which I’ve been drawing and co-writing with its main writer, Ann “Chezhnian” Kennedy, since 2008. I also have a number of solo novels in progress, which I’ll talk more about here once they’re closer to being finished – if you like stories about magic, transformation, liminal spaces, and unlikely heroes (especially queer and neurodiverse ones), you’re in the right place.
If there’s one thing I’d like people to take away from my art, it’s a sense of wonder about the world and the unending variety and possibility it contains – in spite of all the terrible that’s out there.
Outside of creative works, I have taught English in Japan and recently finished an ecology-focused degree in biology. I like hiking, reading, music, history and nautical documentaries, and ttrpgs. Also my dog is pretty cool.
